GYNAECOLOGY

Normal Delivery

A Normal Delivery is a natural process of giving birth to a baby & which every woman is capable of, only if she takes proper care during pregnancy. Minor complications in the pregnancy do not make it any less possible for a woman to deliver a baby normally. There are steps which can be taken during the pregnancy to ensure normal and natural childbirth. In Janam we educate the expecting mother on the Diet, Exercise and Necessary precautions to be taken during the tenure of pregnancy so that she is able to go through a healthy Normal Delivery

Cesarean Section (C-section)

A Cesarean Section (C-section) is surgery to deliver a baby. The baby is taken out through the mother’s abdomen. Some C-sections are planned, but many are done when unexpected problems happen during delivery. Reasons for a C-section may include

 Health problems in the mother

 The mother carrying more than one baby

 The size or position of the baby

 The baby’s health is in danger

 Labor is not moving along as it should

The surgery is relatively safe for mother and baby. Still, it is major surgery. It also takes longer to recover from a C-section than from vaginal birth.

Vaginal tightening (Vaginoplasty)

Vaginal tightening (Vaginoplasty)  is the tightening of the pelvic muscles to achieve or maintain the right degree of elasticity of the pelvic floor muscles. [2] These muscles must be able to contract to maintain continence, and to relax allowing for urination and bowel movements, and for pleasurable sexual inter-course as well as for giving birth. The pelvic muscles can become stretched or weakened due to ageing and more specifically due to pregnancy. This often happens after a difficult childbirth which overstretches or tears the pelvic muscles. Their under use can also cause pelvic floor weakness. In the same vein, the change in hormones related to menopause could weaken these muscles, as well as damage caused through long term straining, chronic constipation or cough or overweight. The surgery for Vaginal tightening  involves removal of excess mucosa with tightening of the underlying muscle and reduction in the diameter of the vaginal introitus (external opening of the vagina).
