The last step to attain CIOB Chartered Membership for most applicants is the Professional Review. It evaluates that you have appropriate skills, knowledge and experience in the three main areas of competence: professionalism, occupational and management. When you pass your assignment, you will attain Chartership, which will allow you to use the designation MCIOB.

Applying for Professional Review:

The following are the steps to apply for the CIOB Professional Review:

1.   Experience and academic requirements:

You are not required to have fulfilled the academic eligibility requirements along with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience (5 years if your qualification is not in the built environment or is a non-honours degree) before you start your application. You must hold a Level 6 (degree) level qualification or higher to fulfill your academic eligibility criteria.

2.   Membership:

It is a must for you to be already a non-chartered member (Applicant) of the CIOB. If you are not an Applicant member, register for an online account. After that, apply for membership.

3.   Download the Professional Review form:
