Plain dosa recipe
Dosa rice 200 gms
urad dhal 100 gms
fenugreek 1 tsp
whole green gram 50 gms
Poha /attukulu 50 gms
Water 1 cup (depend on batter consistency)
salt to taste
Refined oil 2 tbsp
Preparation of Plain dosa
Firstly wash and Soak rice, urad dhal, Fenugreek, green gram for around 6 to 7 hours.
then 1/2 hour before grinding the ingredients add Poha / attukulu to the container.
Wash and drain water.
grind the soaked ingredients in to a fine batter along with water, and store the batter for 8 to 9 hours for fermentation.
Once the fermentation took place gradually batter quantity will increase.
Mix the batter with salt. So the batter is ready
Grease fry pan with butter over medium heat, pour half cup of batter on to the fry pan and spread it in to round pastry.
Pour 1 tsp of melted butter on top and cook, till it gets golden brown colour.
Once the dosa is cooked, remove it from pan and serve hot.
Finally serve with coconut chutney and sambar.
