44 new corona positives in Jharkhand, tally nears 2000
Jamshedpur/Ranchi, June 19: Jharkhand on Friday reported 44 new coronavirus cases taking the tally to 1965. In Jamshedpur the COVID-19 tally has risen to 285 with 5 new cases reported on June 19.
Two positives have travel history to Delhi while one has come back from Kolkata and were institutional quarantine.
One of the positive is a resident of Potka, 1 from Azadnagar in Mango and three belong to Telco. All the positives have been admitted to COVID-19 ward. Jamshedpur also saw 14 people defeat coronavirus and have been discharged from the hospital.
Other positives in Jharkhand are from Simdega 21, Hazaribagh 8, Ranchi, 6, Lohardaga 3 and 1 from Chatra. In Ranchi three positives were detected from private lab Medica, one of the positive is a resident of Dhurwa while other two are admitted at Medica hospital including a woman. One of the person is a resident of Giridih. Of the 24 districts in Jharkhand 7 is corona free. On Friday 137 people in the state have overcome the virus and were discharged. Total of 1335 people have defeated coronavirus in Jharkhand. The total active cases now stand at 715. East Singhbhum is leading the state with 127 active cases while 155 are virus free.
