Title : The 10 most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava
Description :

This list of the most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava will help you to get to know one of the most beautiful areas of the world full of dreamy places.

Located in a privileged location, on a coastal stretch of more than 200 kilometers that goes from the towns of Blanes to Portbou, the Costa Brava offers a rugged coastline of steep cliffs that hide beaches and coves paradise, roads with a view of a heart attack, delicious cuisine in which rice, fish and fresh seafood, and above all, villages to lose yourself among its streets that we are sure, will leave you speechless.

To get to these old fishing villages with their white houses and beautiful medieval villas, which will take you back several centuries, we recommend renting a car, as this way you can stop at the spectacular natural viewpoints located on the road to the coast and its coves with crystal clear waters, ideal for snorkeling and diving.

Although any time of year is good to visit this area, if you want to enjoy relaxing baths in its waters, we recommend you to travel between May and October, avoiding the months of July and August, when the prices of accommodation are soaring and the villages are crowded with tourists from all over the world.

Based on the numerous times we have visited all these towns, located among the most beautiful villages to see in Catalonia, we have made this list of what we believe, are the 10 most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava. Let's start!

1. Cadaqués

Cadaqués is for many the most beautiful village in Catalonia and is at the top of the most beautiful villages in Spain, although for Salvador Dalí it was the most beautiful village in the world.

And the brilliant painter was right, as this old fishing village still preserves its old urban fabric, with narrow cobbled streets, small white houses with tile roofs and small fishing boats resting on the sand, which we are sure will leave its mark on you.

To all this, we must add its isolation, in the heart of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, which makes it an ideal destination for a sun and beach vacation, which you can complement by taking hiking routes through the park that will take you to incredible eroded landscapes and idyllic coves. In addition, about 15 minutes walk from the center you have Port Lligat, a small village where you can visit the old house of Salvador Dali, located in a privileged position, next to the sea.

Cadaqués also falls in love with its gastronomy which you can try from the typical Suquet de peix and fishing of the day in traditional places like Es Balconet or delicious modern tapas in El Talla, both located among the best restaurants where to eat in Cadaqués.

To stay we recommend you the Hotel Tarongeta and for a special occasion the fantastic Hotel Playa Sol, located on the seafront, which for us is our refuge for a few days each year to recharge energy and disconnect from the online world.

2. Calella de Palafrugell

Calella de Palafrugell, protected by the cape of Cap Roig and connected to its neighbor Llafranc by a beautiful path, is another of the most charming villages of the Costa Brava.

This picturesque village falls in love at first sight with its old fishermen's houses, its narrow streets, its ancient vaulted arches that gave shelter to fishermen, and above all, its coves with crystal clear waters, each one more beautiful.

After completing this list of places to see in Calella de Palafrugell and eating good rice with a view of the Mediterranean in the restaurant's La Blava or Sol i Mar, we propose you to arrive by car or walking (1 hour) to the fantastic Gardens of Cap Roig, which are without any doubt, one of the best things to do in the Costa Brava.

This village, located in the middle of the Costa Brava, is perfect to stay a few days at the Hotel Garbi or the Hotel Mediterrani and make short day trips to the other jewels of this area.

3. Tossa de Mar, one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava

Tossa de Mar, located one hour and a half from Barcelona, is another of the most emblematic and touristy towns on the Costa Brava thanks to its beautiful old town and an environment of cliffs and virgin coves with turquoise waters, which will leave you speechless.

Considered by many as a postcard town, Tossa is characterized by an imposing medieval wall located at the top of a small hill from which you will have incredible views of the town, the Mediterranean Sea, and some of its beaches, such as the hidden Cala es Codolar.

Another characteristic of the town is its wall that surrounds and protects the historical center, known as the Vila Vella, which falls in love with its narrow streets with pebble pavement and stone houses decorated with plants and flowers.

Next to the wall is the Roqueta district, the old seafaring district where you can try the famous local dish "Cim i Tomba" of monkfish and turbot in some of the best restaurants to eat in Tossa de Mar such as Can Carlus or Can Pini.

After completing this list of places to see in Tossa de Mar, we recommend you to walk along with one of the paths that will take you to incredible landscapes of cliffs and coves like Cala Bona, Cala Pola, and Cala Giverola, located among the best beaches of the Costa Brava.

Tossa de Mar is also a good place to spend a few days relaxing on the Costa Brava as it has a wide range of excellent hotels such as Hotel Victoria and Hotel Windsor, both located near the beach.

4. Pals

Pals, situated at the top of a hill, is one of the best-preserved medieval villages in all of Catalonia and another of the most beautiful villages in Girona.

Walking through the cobbled streets of the historic center you will discover all its charming corners in which there are many magnificent stone houses in Gothic style, which will take you for a few hours to the Middle Ages.

After shopping in one of the craft stores and completing this list of places to see in Pals, you can recover your energy by trying the typical rice casserole in El Pedró, one of the most recommended restaurants to eat in Pals.

Another advantage of this inland town is that it has a large square surrounded by sand dunes a few kilometers away, where you can soothe the summer heat with refreshing splashes.

Pals is also perfect to use as a base to visit the other most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava on small day trips, staying at the Arkhé Hotel Boutique or the rural house Ses Gadites, located 5 minutes by car from the center.

5. Begur

Begur, located in the region of the Baix Empordà, on the slopes of the hills of the Massif of Begur, is another of the most beautiful and charming villages of the Costa Brava.

You can begin the visit doing a route for the alleys of the historical center of medieval architecture, in which you will be able to observe several towers of stone, constructed in the 16th century to protect from the attacks of the pirates, and several stately houses of indianos, which were raised by the places that made fortune in America, especially in Cuba.

After climbing to the top of the castle and enjoying incredible views of the whole town and the natural environment, you can try succulent traditional Catalan dishes at Can Pere o Platillos.

Once you have recovered your strength, we suggest that you go by car to one of the idyllic coves of the town, such as Sa Tuna, surrounded by old white fishermen's houses, from where you can start a route along one of the most impressive coast roads of the Costa Brava, which runs for 8 kilometers along the coast of Girona, passing through the incredible coves of Aiguafreda, l'Illa Roja and Sa Riera.

Begur is also a very popular destination, especially in summer, to spend several days of vacation by having all the comforts in accommodation, such as the Cluc Hotel Begur, located in the center, or the Parador de Aiguablava, located on the seafront.

6. Peratallada

Although Peratallada has no sea, its location near Begur and is considered one of the best-preserved medieval villages in Spain, make it an essential stop on a route through the most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava.

Declared a Historic-Artistic Site, this small town surrounded by a wall and a moat, attracts thousands of tourists who wander with their mouths open in its network of cobbled streets and stone houses covered with beautiful bougainvilleas and vines.

After completing this list of places to see in Peratallada we recommend trying their most typical dishes such as rice casserole or Fesols de Santa Pau with sausage in one of the restaurants where to eat in Peratallada most recommended as Can Nau, La Candelaria, Cala Nena or Can Bonay.

In addition to a wide range of restaurants, this town also has good hotels like Hostal Blau and Can Barrull, perfect for rural tourism and small excursions through the landscapes of the Costa Brava.

7. Tamariu

Tamariu, a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Palafrugell, located between Begur and Calella de Palafrugell, is another of the most charming villages on the Costa Brava.

Preserving the essence of the sea with its white houses and picturesque fishing boats on the sand, this small town invites you to spend a few days enjoying the small pleasures such as reading, walking on the beach, watching a sunset or simply disconnecting from routine.

In addition to walking its narrow streets and eating good rice or fresh fish in one of its beach bars like Palangui or Es Dofi, we recommend you to make some of its round paths to observe a fantastic natural environment almost virgin and to reach some of its jewels like the hidden coves of Aigua-Xelida and Aiguadolça.

8. L'Escala, one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava

L'Escala, situated in a beautiful bay of calm waters, at one end of the Gulf of Roses, is another of the most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava.

Its great tourist attraction is the visit to the ancient ruins of Empúries, an archaeological site located 2 kilometers away and where you can see the remains of an ancient Greek (Emporion) and Roman (Emporiae) city, which were the entry point of these civilizations into the Iberian Peninsula, as well as visiting the Archaeology Museum of Catalonia.

Among the most interesting points of the complex are the Roman forum, the remains of the Aesculapius and Zeus Serapis temples, the sculpture of Asclepius, the mosaics of the old manor houses, and the Moll Grec beach, located in the old Greek port.

After the visit, you can go to the village to walk around the center and the promenade, take a bath on one of the beaches and try the famous anchovies with tapas in the Bar El Patio or the more elaborate dishes in the Restaurant La Gruta and the Korpilombolo.

The great gastronomic offer of this town is accompanied by excellent accommodations such as the hotel L'Escala Centre or the Hostal Spa Empúries, located on the seafront, next to the ruins of Empúries.

If you have more time you can reach the beautiful medieval village of Besalú, located 40 minutes away by car, which is also another of the essential things to do in Girona.

9. Empuriabrava

Empuriabrava, located in the Gulf of Roses and surrounded by the natural park of the Marismas del Ampurdán, is one of the most original villages on the Costa Brava.

Known as the "Venice of the Costa Brava", this town belonging to Castelló d'Empúries stands out for its 24 kilometers of navigable canals that make it the most important residential marine area in Europe.

In addition to taking a boat ride seeing luxurious houses where you can moor boats and yachts right on your doorstep, you have several shopping areas, an extensive leisure offer and incredible beaches like Can Comes, surrounded by dunes and lagoons that are part of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park.

10. Lloret de Mar

We did not want to finish this list of the most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava without including Lloret de Mar, which although it is a city, has some of the best beaches in the country and leisure offer difficult to match and besides, it is our refuge every time we come back from a trip.

Some of our favorite places to see in Lloret de Mar that we know very well since we live here most of the year, including the beaches of Sa Caleta, Sa Boadella, Santa Cristina and Cala Trons, the elegant houses of Indianos, the paths of Ronda and the incredible Gardens of Santa Clotilde, recognized among the best historical Mediterranean gardens in Europe.

To not miss anything in this town, which better avoids the months of July and August if you are not a great lover of tourism for young people, you can follow this travel guide to Lloret de Mar which includes one and two-day itineraries, the best restaurants where to eat and recommended hotels, among many other recommendations and tips.

Title : Top 10 things to see and do in Zermatt
Description :

This list of the best things to see and do in Zermatt will help you not to miss anything about one of the most impressive places in the world that we are sure will leave you speechless.

Located in the Matterhorn Valley and surrounded by the imposing mountains of the Swiss Alps, at an altitude of 1620 meters, this picturesque village set in a unique natural environment is one of the most sought-after destinations for lovers of hiking, mountaineering, and above all, winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding, as it has more than 350 kilometers of high-quality slopes.

Any time is a good time to travel to Zermatt as it has a wide variety of winter and summer activities as well as a high-level infrastructure that will bring you to the most distant points as well as a wide range of restaurants and hotels. If you are not a great lover of skiing we recommend you to invest about three days to get to know the town and above all, the natural wonders that surround it.

Based on the time we spent in this area during the route on panoramic trains through Switzerland, we have made this list of what we believe are 10 places to see in Zermatt that are a must-see. Let's get started!

1. Glacier Express

The only way to get to Zermatt is by train (fuel vehicles are not allowed inside the town), either from the nearby town of Täsch, from the main cities of Switzerland with a transfer in Visp, or from St. Moritz with the spectacular panoramic train Glacier Express, the option we chose and that we assure you, is one of the most memorable experiences in Switzerland.

This journey, which is included in the Swiss Travel Pass, with a small supplement if you reserve a seat, and which you can use for other routes through Switzerland by train, crosses the imposing mountain range of the Alps in about 8 hours, crossing 91 tunnels and 291 bridges.

One of the characteristics as well as a great attraction is some of its wagons have wide windows, which allow you to enjoy to the maximum the mountain landscapes in which vertical summits, lakes, glaciers, green valleys, and wooden villages are mixed, that seem to be taken from a story.

2. Find a hotel with a view

Once at the train station in Zermatt you can take a small electric cab or walk to your hotel, bearing in mind that some include this service.

At this point we have to consider that the prices in all Switzerland and especially in Zermatt, are among the highest in Europe (about 200 euros a night), so we recommend looking for accommodation well in advance to have more options to choose from and also better prices.

And although in other destinations at the time of choosing the hotel the most important thing is that it is well located, in this case, one of the best things to do in Zermatt is to look for a hotel overlooking the impressive Matterhorn or Matterhorn mountain as offered by the Hotel Bristol, located 10 minutes walk from the train station. This, in addition to its excellent location, has a terrace with loungers, bar, sauna, steam bath, and ski rental services, and ticket sales for the ski lifts and cable cars.

Two other good options with an excellent quality/price ratio are the Hotel Continental and the Hotel Garni Testa Grigia.

3. Visit the village of Zermatt

The town of Zermatt is completely focused on tourism and winter sports, something that you will be able to see while walking through its streets when you come across numerous stores focused on these topics, although the town also has several points of interest to which it is worth dedicating a few hours.

One of our favorite places to see in Zermatt are the old wooden houses and farms decorated with flowers, located in the Hinterdofstrasse, which are preserved from the time when this town was a small mountain village.

Near this street is the Bahnhofstrasse, the most commercial artery of the city, which will take you to the Matterhorn Museum, the only one in the world dedicated to a mountain, and to the St. Maurice Church which has a cemetery where some of the mountaineers who lost their lives trying to crown some of the emblematic peaks that surround the town are buried.

After the visit from this area of the village nothing better than to go to the Kirchbrücke bridge to see a fantastic perspective of the Matterhorn and take a walk along the Mattervispa shore. A good time to do this is the sunset, which if the day is clear, will give you some unforgettable moments.

If you want to have the best perspective of the village with the Matterhorn mountain in the background you will have to climb the Riedweg street to the area of the Alpenroyal and Cervo hotels.

4. Eating a fondue, one of the best things to do in Zermatt

Another of the best things to do in Zermatt is to have a delicious fondue lunch or dinner in one of the most recommended restaurants such as the Swiss Chalet or the Pinte.

This caloric dish is one of the most typical of Switzerland and consists of a cast-iron pot filled with melted cheese, which is kept hot with a small stove, and from which you can dip, with a long fork, pieces of bread or other products such as potatoes, vegetables or fruit.

Other favorites of this area are the Alplermakkaronen (macaroni and cheese), tartiflette (potato cake), raclette, and rösti (a kind of potato omelet), which you can try in places like Whymper-Stube, Saycheese!, the Snowboat, and the Old Zermatt.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that if the hotel does not have breakfast or you want to bring a picnic sandwich for a hiking route, we recommend the Fuchs bakery, which has several places in the village and makes delicious snacks.

5. Going up to Gornergrat

The viewpoint of Gornergrat, located at 3089 meters high, offers one of the best views of the Matterhorn, the most famous mountain in the Alps for its imposing pyramid shape and for being the logo of the delicious Toblerone chocolate.

This viewpoint, open all year round and with the Kulmhotel Gornergrat just a few meters away, also offers spectacular panoramic views of up to 29 peaks that exceed 4 thousand meters, such as the Dufour, the highest in Switzerland, and the Gorner Glacier, the third-longest glacier in the Alps.

To reach this viewpoint you must take an old cog railway that leaves the station in front of the train station and will take you to Gornergrat in just over half an hour for about 40 euros with a 50% discount if you have the Swiss Travel Pass.

Remember that before arriving at Gornegrat it is highly recommended to get off at the Riffelsee stop, another of the most impressive places to see in Zermatt and which we will discuss at the next point.

6. Riffelsee Lake, one of the places to see in Zermatt

The Riffelsee Lake, located 10 minutes walk from the rack train stop that goes up to the Gornergrat, is another natural wonder to see in Switzerland.

Located at an altitude of 2757 meters, from this alpine lake you can enjoy one of the most iconic photos of Switzerland with the Matterhorm in front of you, reflected in its icy waters.

Although in many places it is recommended to visit the Gornergrat viewpoint first, if you want to take pictures without people and enjoy the lake in peace, we recommend you take one of the first trains that leave the station and get off at the Riffelsee stop before going to the Gornergrat.

Another good time to reach the lake is at sunset when the orange colors illuminate the sky and the lake, but before leaving you have to be attentive to the weather forecast to avoid finding the Matterhorn covered, something very common.

If you do the Gornergrat before you can walk down to Lake Riffelsee in about 20 minutes stopping at different natural viewpoints that will leave you speechless.

7. The 5 lakes route

The most spectacular trekking route to be done in Zermatt is, without any doubt, the five lakes route, which will take you for 3 hours and about 10 kilometers through landscapes that you will never forget.

Although the itinerary of the "5-Seenweg" can be done in both directions, we recommend starting with the Stellisee and Grindjisee lakes, our favorites, and thus have much of the way down, in addition to being able to see the most spectacular lakes with fewer people, for being the first you will visit early in the morning.

To get to the Stelliesee Lake you can take one of the first subway trains of Sunnegga (Sunneggabahnque) that leave from the station on Vispastrasse street and leave you in about 10 minutes to the Sunnega station, and then take a cable car (15 minutes) to Blauherd.

The route ends at the Leisee, where you can take a refreshing bath if you bring your swimsuit, as well as at the Grünsee lake, also known as a stop on the way for many travelers to refresh themselves.
To return to Zermatt you can take the Sunnegga Express or walk down for an hour.

8. Matterhorn Glacier Paradise

Another place to see in Zermatt is the viewpoint Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, located almost 4000 meters and with amazing views of the Alps.
To get to this viewpoint you will have to climb the highest cable car in Europe, which has some glass cabins, from which you can see a huge glacier under your feet and the imposing mountains that surround it.
Once at the top you will see the highest and longest ski resort in Europe, where you can ski even in summer, as well as the great peaks spread throughout Switzerland, Italy, and France such as Mont Blanc, Gran Paradiso, and Matterhorn.
A good option is to combine this visit with that of the Gornergrat and Riffelsee, since from the Riffelberg station you can take a cable car to Furi, the departure point of the cable car to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.

9. Gorner Gorge

From the Fury station, you can get off in a cable car to Zermatt, although we recommend to do this journey on foot and thus cross the spectacular Gorner Gorge (Gornerschlucht).
The first stretch of the descent (20 minutes) will take you through natural landscapes that seem to be taken from Heidi's story until you reach Blatten, a small mountain village full of old houses and wooden farms. After taking several pictures we recommend you to try the rosti and for dessert a meringue, in the Blatten restaurant, one of the best in the whole valley and another of the things to do in Zermatt.
Full of energy you can continue going down to the entrance of the Gorner Gorge, formed during millions of years by water erosion and which has several wooden walkways from where you can enjoy the views of its original rocky forms and waterfalls.
This small route will take you about 20 minutes but you can also do a via ferrata of about 3 hours with an expert guide and from there continue to the town of Zermatt about 15 minutes walk.

10. Rothorn Paradise

The last recommendation on this list of things to see and do in Zermatt is to go up to the Rothorn Paradise viewpoint, located at 3103 meters above sea level and with one of the most incredible views of the Matterhorn.
To get to the Rothorn you will have to take the Sunnegga cable car, then a gondola to Blauherd, and finally another cable car with a much bigger cabin, where you can even take your bike to the viewpoint.
Once there you will have a complete 360-degree view of the Matterhorn, peaks of more than 4000 meters, and glaciers, which will leave you speechless.
Furthermore, from this point, you can make dizzying descents by mountain bike in summer and by ski in winter as well as hiking routes that reach the Oberrothorn, at 3415 meters.

Title : Why Brazil's coffee is booming ?
Description :

Brazilian coffee is in fashion. These are the reasons why the country of the Carnival is one of the world leaders in the cultivation of coffee

Ladies and gentlemen, Brazil is a fantastic country. Not only because it has a dreamlike climate, celebrates Carnival in a big way and its landscapes are breathtaking, but because this country ( together with Colombia ), concentrates the production of coffee in Latin America. In fact, it is the largest coffee producing country in the world.

When we speak of Brazilian coffee we are not giving a name to a standard or a standard product. The coffee beans that come from the land of the samba, the feijoada, or the caipirinhas deserve a special mention. Oh, just thinking about it makes us feel healthy.

But why is there so much talk about Brazilian coffee now?

Well, there are many reasons. We will tell you about them in general terms because to summarize in a single article everything related to coffee in a country that has almost 210 million inhabitants and a land area of over 8.5 million square kilometers is like wanting to know what is happening in the ocean but you only dive close to the shore and without your glasses.

Land area and a population dedicated to the cultivation of coffee in Brazil

Of these 210 million people, 3.5 million work on coffee plantations. And you will say, well, it's not that many! Well, if we compare it with the amount of population there is, maybe not. But there are three things to keep in mind:

  • After the coffee has passed through the hands of the producers, it continues its long course until it reaches our supermarkets. All over the world. And in the middle of all this process, a few million more people are involved.
  • 3.5 million people out of 210 million know "a little". But just to give you an idea: you need 23 whole soccer fields without a chair in them to be able to quantify all these people planting coffee. If a city already collapses with just one soccer game in the only stadium in the city...
  • Brazil has more than 220,000 coffee plantations. And each plantation has different measures. So of possibilities to cultivate this food, there are many.

It is not so long ago that Brazil started to grow coffee. History says that this foodstuff arrived in the country at the beginning of the 18th century. But of course, with so many people involved, incredible coffee culture has developed.

*The fantastic climate, a key element for Brazilian coffee

The moderate temperatures, constant sun and periodic rains that exist in Brazil make this country a dream place for coffee plantations. Above all, Arabica and Robusta coffee.

Brazil produces Arabica and Robusta coffee, two of the most sought after coffees in the world

Both Arabica and Robusta coffees are of extraordinary quality and are highly valued in the market. Arabica coffee has mild and generally fruity flavors. And the Robusta coffee, although it is more typical of African countries, gives a more earthy and spicy flavor. In other words, Brazil manages to obtain two types of coffee that are very different from one another, with contrasting but very interesting flavors.

For a long time, Brazil has not marked its origin in its product

Just as we are very clear that in Italy, Colombia or Vietnam we can drink very good coffee, for a long time Brazil has not marked the origin of its product in the packages it exports. This means that many of us have surely drunk very good Brazilian coffee, but we have not even noticed it.

The standard coffee producers in Brazil have spent years - if not centuries - grinding and exporting their product to the mass market without giving much importance to highlighting where it comes from. And on many occasions, Brazilian coffee has been mixed with other coffees to enhance or differentiate flavors. But little by little, some producers have already realized and started to correct this, giving name and origin to what they sell to the world, whatever the quality of the coffee.

The good coffee from Brazil for the rest of the countries. At home, the cafezinho stays

How are you going to speak well of a product if what you consume is not of good quality? This is what has happened to most Brazilians over the years. Brazil, by custom, has sold the best quality coffee to the rest of the world and has always kept the lesser quality coffee, more roasted and grown in areas that give less flavor to the coffee. This is why many Brazilians drink cafezinho, a coffee recipe with a lot of sugar to soften the roast of the beans. But little by little they have realized that their product is worth a lot and that a part of these high-quality coffee beans should stay at home.

Technology, the key to business development

Popular knowledge mixed with technology results in efficiency and productivity in each farm or plantation where coffee is grown and chooses to improve its production processes.

Title : What is the continental breakfast and why is it called that?
Description :

I'm sure you've heard of it a thousand times, but do you know what a continental breakfast is and why it's called that? We'll tell you.

I'm sure you've enjoyed one more times than you imagine and you're tired of reading about it in the hotel's gastronomic offers. In fact, most of them include the continental breakfast in the room price.

This type of breakfast emerged in the United States in the mid-19th century when American hotels tried to offer a breakfast that was better adapted to the customs of the European middle class, which was beginning to travel more and more frequently.

What is a continental breakfast?

In hotels, the continental breakfast is usually served as a buffet and consists of coffee, chocolate, or tea with or without milk, brioche-type pastries or croissants, toast with butter and jam, as well as bread, cheese, sausages, yogurt, fruit, and cereals.

Strangely enough, this is a "light" breakfast compared to the typical English breakfast where fried bacon, sausages, black pudding, fried or scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, stewed beans, porridge are common, pancakes and toast with butter and jam, all accompanied by a good cup of tea, very popular not only in Britain but in all countries with Anglo-Saxon culture influence such as the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.

Why is it called continental breakfast?

It was the British who baptized this lighter type of breakfast as the continental breakfast since it was similar to those eaten in countries such as France or those on the Mediterranean coast. In other words, it was the typical breakfast of the countries on the European continent, since the British usually refer to the rest of Europe as "the Continent".

Why is the continental breakfast so popular in hotels?

The continental breakfast is profitable for the hotels because it is not necessary to cook any dish and it is easy to manage with very little staff, it is enough to place in the dining room jugs or fruit juice dispensers, a coffee machine, some and a few trays of pastries, bread, and cold cuts.

Why is it usually included in the price?

Traditionally, hotels used to contract full board service, but as time went by clients began to prefer to have more flexibility at mealtimes, so hotels had to adapt and meals were no longer included in the price.

On average, the continental model, which is usually the most common today, began to become popular, where a continental breakfast is included in the price of the room. This way, guests can have breakfast and recharge their batteries early in the day and then enjoy full freedom to choose their meals for the rest of the day.

Title : What Are The Six Steps You Should Do To Find Your Job?
Description :

You were dismissed? Resigned yourself? Or just finished college? There are many reasons to find a job as fast as possible. For example, it looks good to have a gap-free resume. That's why it's advisable to start checking job ads as soon as possible. Make sure you adopt the following strategies to increase your chances to get hired considerably.

1) Networking everyone you know should know about your job hunt

If you see a shooting star or blow your birthday candles, you're not allowed to tell your wish or it will never come true. In fact, that's a lie!

Tell everyone you know that you are looking for a job. You never know who might know someone whose friend's uncle is hiring.

Don't be too shy to ask people if the company they're working at is hiring. Try to find opportunities anywhere.

The more people you tell that you're seeking work the higher the probability that someone can help you.

Use your acquaintances' reach by asking them to ask around among their relationships for you. Reach out to former colleagues, chefs, lecturers, etc. and find out if they have heard about open positions.

Post on social media that you need a job to reach out to acquaintances that you don't see regularly. Join groups in which job offers are shared and follow companies that your are interested in to see their vacancies first.

2) Apply anyway

In job advertisements companies describe their ideal candidate. Most of the time they have to accept compromises like everyone else. It's very rare that you find your perfect job, the same applies to companies looking for their ideal candidate.

Dare to apply anyway - even if you don't fulfill every single specification they list. As long as you match the main requirements there's a good chance they'll hire you because they can't find anyone better. You can probably learn the less important skills during the training period or do a course on the side.

3) Take advantage of the classifieds

Buy some newspapers and check out their classifieds section. They still have sections about the job market with job ads you might not find online.

Also check out classifieds websites. There you can find thousands of jobs usually grouped by location and professional field.

A third option are classifieds search engines, that collect and list job ads from several pages. They help you save time and effort because you don't need to check multiple pages. Nevertheless, you should research if you can find other pages that have vacancies that are not listed in the classifieds pages.

See the next tip to learn how you can use websites that list jobs as efficiently as possible.

4) Get the most out of job websites

Most aggregators provide features that facilitate finding the right search results. Use these by exploring the enhanced search options: For example search by keyword, location, job title etc. or try combining several parameters to get better results.

No matter if you are on a job search website or a classifieds site, they usually offer free email alerts. There you can register with your email address, choose the right keywords or even save an advanced search and they will send you new job listing via email. That way you don't have to check the pages over and over again. Instead you get the newest job postings automatically to your inbox.

With these functions you can make sure that you don't waste your time on job aggregator pages that don't have the jobs you are looking for. Yet, you can still keep up to date if they gain matching vacancies.

5) Ask for feedback

It's hard when your job application is rejected. It's even harder when you put great effort into your application and really wanted that job. To improve future applications you should not want to leave it here. Overcome your pride and ask them for the reason they turned you down. The answer might hurt, but that's the only way to learn from your mistakes. Maybe the HR representative can give you a helpful advice that makes you get the next job you're going to apply for.

6) Just keep applying. Just keep applying.

This advice not only relates to situations in which your application was turned down and you need to move on and apply to other companies. But you also should keep on applying for jobs while you are waiting to hear back from a company. Even if you're absolutely sure that they are going to hire you, don't stop applying until you signed a contract, because unexpected events can always happen. The worst thing that could happen is that you get offered more than one position and will be in the lucky situation to choose.

Title : The most effective method to Accomplish happiness: The Initial 3 Things You Need to Provide Up to Be Cheerful
Description :

Oftentimes, we believe we need to "add something" into our lives in to be truly happy... more money, better job, a spouse, a new car, a baby. The truth is, by removing things, we create the space to find more happiness in the simple things. It's in the simplicity that happiness finds its way into the cracks of ordinary moments that we tend to take for granted.

Here are three things you need to eliminate from your life to feel more happiness each day.

1. The need to please others

It's not possible to please everyone all the time. It's not even possible to please any one person most of the time. The level that someone may or may not feel pleased by someone or something is entirely up to that individual. You have nothing to do with it... sorry, it's the truth. Therefore, doing things because we think it will please another is the wrong reason to be doing it. The only reason to do it is because YOU want to do it JUST FOR YOU! If you're doing it to elicit a response, you can expect to be disappointed often, which won't leave you feeling happy.

For you, you need to do things that make YOU happy and let go of how others feel about it. If it makes you happy, then the people in your life who truly love and care about you will be supportive of you. If they are not, well, there is a good chance you shouldn't be spending time with them any longer anyway. Doing for others, whether it be something for them or you do because of what they may think, will leave you feeling sad and disappointed far too often.

2. Inflexibility

Stuff happens... constantly. Technology breaks. Kids get into trouble. You get a flat tire. People cancel plans on you. Schedules get moved around. Restaurants run out of your favorite meal. The one constant in life is change. If you're too structured and rigid in the way you live and in your views, that is a guaranteed detractor of happiness. Let go and let flow. Being flexible allows you the opportunity to pivot and change direction, without it affecting your day in a negative way. By being more flexible and relaxed, you'll start to notice some more of the magic that shows up in your life by all the "coincidences" that show up. For instance, if you weren't stuck in traffic and late for your appointment, which set your day back a bit, you wouldn't have run into that old friend you haven't seen in years. Just trust... there are no accidents. Everything happens for a reason, even if you don't know it in the moment. So, do your best to relax and be flexible.

3. Perfectionism

Nothing is ever really done, and there really is no such thing as perfection. What may look like perfection to one person looks like a disaster to someone else. Once the house is perfectly clean, all it takes is the kids to come home and one meal to be cooked in the kitchen, and in an instant, no more perfection. Have you ever noticed that the "To Do" list never gets done? You may be able to check off all the items in one given day. But, sure enough, there's more "To Do" the next day. When you pause for a moment and realize this fact, you can stop and congratulate yourself for what you actually DID accomplish and spend less time beating yourself up for what didn't get completed yet. It's in those moments of choosing to feel the accomplishment where your bliss is. Release the attachment to be always "doing, doing, doing."

"Happiness is a choice, it's not a condition. Choose your happiness above all else. The rest will fall into place. Those that fall away from your life need to. Those who stay deserve to."

These may seem simple, but it is in the simplicity of life where our joy resides. So, give it up and make yourself happier.

Title : How To Earn Money From Podcasting During COVID-19
Description :

Many people are hurting right now. This nation (and the world) have been negatively impacted by this COVID-19 pandemic.

Many people have lost their sources of income. Others have lost their homes. Still others have lost their savings trying to stay in their homes and keep going until things "get back to normal."

Being cut off from normal in person relationships, whether it is at the office or out social with friends, is having detrimental effects on our society. People are yearning for some sort of way to stay connected.

There is one area of e-commerce that has grown tremendously in this time of COVID-19. That is the growing availability of online course instructions. Whether it is for classroom instruction for school age children or adults trying to learn or improve a skill set that will help them in this environment, online is where everyone is turning.

It is exactly this type of environment that podcasting is beginning to thrive like almost no other alternative out there! Podcasting is quickly becoming the fastest growing communication medium on the planet right now!

If you have a message to share, starting a podcast is a good first step.

If you have a skill set that will help someone to accomplish something that will benefit them right now, you have a potential client who may pay you money to teach them. A podcast can be your way to earn some additional income in the process.

It really is not hard to start a podcast. You need a device to record your voice (and most smart phones will have this already installed).

You then need a topic to talk about. I have my podcast training clients to write down three or four topics where other people are asking them for help. This is a good opportunity to realize you could create a podcast around those topics.

Think of it like this, if others are already asking for your help in these areas, you are already being recognized as an expert in that area! That's right! You are an expert!

Just start to record your thoughts and ideas of that particular skill set you have and then share it with others. Put it out there on social media. Do it for free as you get started.

As you become more widely known and you are getting more requests for help, then you can start to move over in charging a small fee to others who ask for your help.

Congratulations! You have now monetized your podcast!

This is only one small example of how quickly it can happen. I've been helping people for over four years (at this point) to excel in exactly this type of scenario. But with the onset of COVID right now, my business has exploded beyond my wildest expectations!

If you have an idea that will help someone else achieve their desired goals, share it in a podcast. Start the process now and you could soon have an entirely different career path that cannot be shut down by COVID!
