WorldRankList gives every business a single WRL score (0–1000), calculated by an algorithm from real signals, and ranks it only against other businesses in the same city and category. We're not a pay-to-win directory — we're a trust layer for the open web and for AI search.
Rank is earned by the algorithm — it can never be bought, edited, or influenced by payment. Revenue comes only from things around the ranking (clearly-labelled sponsored slots, data/API access, analytics), never from the rank itself.
The score is built from genuine activity, weighted into a transparent total. Engagement and leads are de-duplicated per visitor and recency-weighted, so the score reflects current, real momentum — not all-time totals or click-spam:

It is ranked by exactly the same algorithm as every other listing, from the same six signals, with no manual adjustment — and that is enforced by the software, not by a promise. There is no way to set a score or a rank by hand anywhere in this platform. Scores are written in only two places, the nightly job and the admin "recompute" button, and both run the identical scoring engine over real signals. No screen, form or database action exists that lets staff type in a score, move a rank, or exempt a listing. If our listing loses ground on the signals, it drops, and neither we nor anyone else can stop that.
