Terms of Service

The rules for using WorldRankList — for visitors, reviewers and the business owners who list with us.

Last updated: July 1, 2026 · By using WorldRankList you agree to these terms.

The one rule that defines us. Rank is earned by the algorithm from real signals — it can never be bought, edited, negotiated or influenced by payment. Any attempt to manipulate it (fake reviews, bot engagement, etc.) can result in penalties or removal.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WorldRankList (the "Platform"). By accessing the site, creating an account, listing a business, writing a review or sending an enquiry, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Accounts & eligibility

3. Listings: adding & claiming

4. Acceptable use

When using the Platform you agree not to:

5. The WRL ranking

Each business receives one WRL score (0–1000) built from six weighted signals — review quality (300), engagement (200), verified leads (150), verification (150), profile completeness (100) and freshness (100) — and is ranked against rivals in the same category and city. Scores and ranks are refreshed on a regular cycle and provided "as is". They are an automated, good-faith measure of signals — not a guarantee of any business's quality, and not something you can purchase or negotiate.

6. Reviews & user content

7. Enquiries & leads

When you send an enquiry through a listing, your name, phone and message are shared with that business so it can respond — we are not a party to the resulting communication or transaction. Businesses must use enquiry details only to respond to the customer and in line with applicable law. A genuine, confirmed enquiry may become a "verified lead", which is one of the ranking signals.

We offer optional paid products that sit around the ranking and are always clearly labelled:

None of these alter organic scores or ranks. Buying them gives visibility or insight — never position.

9. Intellectual property

The Platform, its software, design, the WRL scoring methodology and the WorldRankList name and logo are owned by us and protected by law. You may not copy, resell or create derivative works from the Platform except as expressly permitted (for example, via our official data/API products). Business names, logos and content belong to their respective owners.

10. Moderation, suspension & removal

To protect ranking integrity and our community, we may moderate, verify, flag, suspend or remove listings, reviews, enquiries or accounts that breach these Terms or threaten the Platform's fairness or security — including applying penalties to businesses that attempt to manipulate signals. Where practical we act proportionately, but we may act immediately in cases of fraud, abuse or legal risk.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Rankings, scores and listing information are automated and may contain errors. You use them, and make business decisions, at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WorldRankList and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, customers, data or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform or from reliance on any ranking or listing information.

13. Changes to the service & terms

We may improve, change or discontinue parts of the Platform, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
